I’ve been invited to stay in Newcastle with a very dear friend of mine, Tru (CapnCloudchaser), and her husband, Michael, up in Newcastle.

We’ve ventured around Tynemouth and Whittley Bay via the Metro, from North to South Shields by Ferry and all over the place on a number of buses.

What’s more is that we are going to be meeting up with other community members later on this week as a few other friendly faces live nearby, including Scott (SJSSF) and I’ve been told, Mark (Sonicmark).

After finally finishing work, (despite being on annual leave, I still end up working), I was introduced to a number of games that I’d pre-empted not to like, including Rez, Child of Eden, Valkyria Chronicles and Guardian Heroes. Of course, there’s also been time to play a little Rock Band!!

As a thank you gift for allowing me to stay, I sketched a certain hedgehog from the game we played in co-op mode…

To some, Sonic Unleashed is distant memory. For me, it’s an ongoing nightmare as the game itself hasn’t been too kind to me since I started playing it, way back in…???

“What is the EggmanLand that you speak of?”, I hear you ask… Well, it’s the level after the restoration of 6 out of the 7 continents. It’s where Eggman’s dreams come true.

But why such excitement? Well, my last achievement on the Xbox 360 version of the game, the restoration of the fifth continent, was achieved 14 months ago – back in January 2011. Yes, it has taken that long!!

Oh well, it’s not over yet. Might just leave the game another fourteen months and then see what happens…

I’m currently in the University of York, ringing handbells with a number of other ringing teams from around the UK.

As of posting, we’ve already performed our segment in the National Rally, consisting of The Bells of St Mary and All Through the Night, and will soon be joining other ringers in a “read and ring” session, ringing Nearer My God To Thee.

Some of you how know me would know that I’ve been working hard between overtime and rehearsals on a particular project, RadioSEGA Project 7.

I was overwhelmed by the number of people who wished me a happy birthday over the various social networks, chat facilities and real life people, (they do exist!!). I didn’t realise I had as many people thinking of me as that which was shown, and I thank you all

I’d like to say that it was well spent getting pampered and putting one’s feet up but unfortunately, someone has to keep the economy moving forward.

Still, after work, I was able to broadcast an episode of SEGA AGES on RadioSEGA that was a bit different from the norm and later listen to some fantastic music as broadcasted by a very dear friend of mine.

Perfect end to a very usual weekday.

Tracks from my Sonic Unplugged album have been included, some remixed, along with a number of awesome remixes by other members of the community – a total of four discs worth!

I received a couple of unexpected presents, things like a paper calendar and a couple of bars of chocolate. I also received a couple of Sonic presents too – a notebook and a Sonic money box head from my niece and nephew. They know me too well!!

The composer delves into the world of bell ringing, exploring the sounds and designs of many sizes and shapes of instruments including handbells, and the organ-like carillon. He also tries to unlock the musical potential of church bells. The composer tries his hand at bell ringing and creates an original piece specifically designed to be played on church bells.

Handbell ringers from the South East and East Anglia regions were involved in this production as Charles Hazelwood created his piece and it was performed in the Market Square in Cambridge.
